For more advanced cases of tooth decay, we may instead need to cap the tooth with a dental crown, one custom-made to ensure a balanced bite and of course, a lifelike appearance, as we often select all-porcelain or porcelain-fused-to-metal. If a tooth is infected, then we could use a root canal to stop toothaches and prevent tooth loss. The process involves numbing the tooth and removing the tissues from the interior of the tooth. We then add a restorative material and cap the tooth with a custom crown, so you enjoy a complete smile.
